Well…over the last few weeks, in amongst Christmas, New Years Eve and rolling into the start of 2010…
I’ve been super busy doing just this for some new clients of mine…and in turn helping them to create new income streams, launch their new businesses and rake in profits..!
It’s been a crazy time…
So…Let’s dive in to what we’ve have been up to and see if it can help you…
Firstly…
Revealing what this ‘question’ is for you…
Understanding how you formulate this ‘question’…so you can gather responses…
And then being able to provide a solution to the responses…is what will deliver you the profit…!
Getting this wrong could mean little or no ‘question’ to ask…no response, and finally no solution, which equals no payday for you.
Let’s get into the formulation of the question…
This is very simple…and mostly delivered in a survey style…It can be done as an email but is much more effective as an online survey…
Firstly, there is only one thing you need to know from your prospect…and here’s how it goes…
“What is the single most important question you have to ask (your name or business name) about …(your market topic)…?”
It’s almost too simple…
But, when was the last time you asked your prospects this question..?
Have you ever asked at all…?
Chances are, you haven’t…But that’s okay…
Now you can…
And there’s a super-sneaky way to ask it… In the attachment provided at the link down below I have shown three layouts for this question…
These show the formula or layout to provide you with the highest response rate…
Pay particular attention to example #1…this one goes into collecting testimonials for your previous works also…and is best delivered on the promise of receiving a ‘gift’ or ‘freebie’ for their completing the survey…
Feel free to edit (you’ll need to make them specific to your market/products/services) and use these to ask your prospects their most important question.
In doing so, you will reveal how you can provide a ‘solution’ to their needs…
Providing the Solution and getting paid…
Again, very easy…once you’ve received the feedback…look into the ‘objections’…sift out the common themes, unravel the pain points…You’ll find it’s very easy once you start…
I’ve done this for many clients and it always works a treat…just recently, this was done and one of my clients received 128 responses…and also 28 testimonials…
You think this type of information isn’t valuable…??? You’re Wrong..!
Developing a new product or service around these responses is the best way to do business…
If you do this…you are always giving the customer exactly what they want…when they want it…and making them feel like you’re listening…not just selling!
Even better…
They’ll think you have a crystal ball and can read their mind..!
Using this method not only allows the creation of new products (my client’s working on his latest one as we speak)…but also give credibility to your work, these can be used in promotions leading up to sale time.
A truly marvellous way to deliver value to your customers every single time…

Okay, with video being so ’NOW’ online these days, I wanted to give you some sneaky insider guff on structuring your videos…this is super important when you’re releasing information or just plain teasing your market about your new widget…
There are two main sections that require you’re attention in the video frenzy…
#1 – Questions you need to consider regarding emails, lists and squeeze pages. These determine the launch plan and videos you make…
And…
#2 – The outline for your videos. This details the different aspects of structure, its important you take these items on-board and use them when making your videos.
Section #1
How often have you been emailing your list?
What sort of list are they, are they from you’re target market only, or a mix from different markets you’ve collected over the years?
What types of offers have you sent them in the past?
What results have you had with these offers?
What are you trying to achieve specifically, by sending these emails?
Important: – Have you surveyed your list recently to ask what they want?
Do you have a plan for the exact timing and outline for the emails?
How long will your launch/promotion/ sequencing run for?
How many videos/emails will you have in place to roll out?
Will you be testing different squeeze pages or just mass mailing to one page?
Do you have killer headlines and copy for these pages?

Section #2
There are two popular storylines below, I’ve gone into the way they are structured and told…
The Reluctant Hero – where the hero/guru suddenly realizes he/she has struck upon a eureka moment, the answer to a massive problem. Then they are forced/persuaded to reveal their find to the masses, they play the shy guy/girl and then finally, reluctantly release their find…to the admiration of their adoring fans…
Loss & Redemption – where the hero/guru builds a huge business/wealth/following, making himself a prominent figure in the process then through some turn of fate, loses everything they have built/created. The hero/guru, not wanting to give in recreates his/her empire, knowing that with the skills/resources/secret system they possess, he/she knows that it could be done, not only more quickly, but on a bigger scale.
Your layout/story of the video you make should be told along one of the above story-lines. Within that, the video should also incorporate the following.
1. Beginning – This is where you need to align yourself with the prospect, remember, the story is not about you, its about the prospect and how what you have helps them. You may start this off something like…
“You know…I think we’re alot alike…I started out in ……………….., and yes, I too had many trials/ successes and failures…and years ago when I began in this ………………., I had many hurdles to get over….”
Here, you would tell abit about your background, your successes/failures and tell it in-line with one of the above story-lines.
2. Frustrations – Okay, once you’ve given a little history, you need to talk about their frustrations, but through your own experiences. Tell them stories (pick the top 3 frustrations) that will have them understand that you are the same as them and they too can overcome these problems.
3. Dreams & Aspirations – Move into telling them how you see the future…what it means to you, your dreams for your future, reveal your dreams and want you want to achieve.
4. Solution – Reveal how you found the solutions to the above/their main frustrations, again tell it through a story. Then reveal how you’ll be sharing the solution with them, go into some details about your system/solution/widget (be vague here, don’t give it all away, but tease them with the what, not the how, reveal maybe two juicy bits)…end with the announcement of……….
’Something’s coming, it’s close and I’ll be making another video in the next few days…if you’d like to find out more on this solution/system/whatever, type your email in the optin box and I’ll make sure you get it as soon as its ready……’
At this point it’s always handy to add a survey…to ask your prospects what frustrations they have, what they’d like to see in the solution, and any other comments they may have. The link to this should be on the Thankyou page for opting in, and on the second video page.
Things to remember
* The video is not about you! Its about them, you’re telling stories about your experiences, aligned with their frustrations, and how you have overcome them.
* Try to steer clear of ‘talking down’ the opposition/competitors when talking ‘up’ yours. When/or if you ask them to promote for you, JV’s, partners or affiliates won’t take kindly to you putting down their products. Use another angle, you need to be creative here, you’re answering frustrations, whilst not talking others down.
* Don’t rush the process…if you’re doing an launch to your own list, let it play out, listen to what the feedback is and adjust your responses to relieve their frustrations. You may need to do multiple videos or even multiple blog posts with videos to answer questions. As these come in, look at them and answer their frustrations…only when all frustrations have been overcome, will they be ready to take the next step…

So…how often, once a day, a week, a month, a year…well it really depends on your market, Yes, your market, not YOU. You may well want to have a massive cash surge everyday, but its not always the best for business…
And there’s a few other determining factors also…like lead generation, the product, your funnel set-up, the scarcity involved…and a lots more…but these items aside, it seems that the launch most talked of recently is the…
Perpetual Launch…or the Rolling Launch, as some call it…so I wanted to get to the nitty gritty of this one first…
Yes, this is the launch that allows you to have the cash surge everyday. And done right, it can bring just that. Its the old ideal of ‘when supply meets demand, people get rich’.
In certain markets this is always the case…think of comsumables, razors, toilet paper, pens, computers (these days anyways)…these types of products can be launched, and are launched on a daily basis.
The trick is in the Sequencing, the Copy and the Lead Generation…I’ll jump straight in…
Sequencing…We’re talking sequencing of your sales funnel or launch here. From the instant a prospect/lead drops onto your first page, there must be a distinct sequence of events that happens…
Everything for the first line of text they read, to where their eyes look next, to the action they take, the next email they receive, the video they watch…It all has to be sequenced with the end result in mind. The next conversion goal, then the next and the next, until the final sale.
A great sequence will lead the prospect by the hand, building anticipation, excitement, scarcity, it will encourage them to take the next step, overcome objections, and deliver to you a cash return.
If this is left to mere mortals, you will never know what happened to that precious prospect…they will be gone forever, instead of becoming a raving fan for you…they’ll be a waving goodbye to you!
Copy…This is always right up there on the list. Great copy sells, the rest becomes kindling for the fire… This comes up time and time again, people are always trying to save money on the most important part of making money. When setting up your launch allow the extra resources to get a great (not just good) copy writer on board. Don’t say to yourself “I’ll do it just this once…”, because there’s only one truth in that statement…
You’ll be doing it (being a launch) only once!
Because after failing miserably, you won’t want to go through that pain again…
Leads…Having a constant source of leads allows a fluid funnel process to be implemented and refined, to the point of being able to squeeze every last cent out of the conversion process. A shortage of leads when launching makes this conversion game more tactical and launches are then better keep monthly or even yearly intervals.
I like to employ, at least for Perpetual Launches, a Five Point Marketing plan…including the actual Product Launch Sequencing, great SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), a killer Social Media campaign, Pay-Per-Click Advertising and the Best Copy Writers!
So remember, when you’re deciding on how often to push ‘GO’ and you decide you want that massive cash surge everyday as in a Prepetual Launch…
Make sure you have your Sequencing in check, you’re using the best Copywriters, and you have an endless supply of quality Leads…!

What’s more important in your next Product Launch…? Your Brand or your URL…?
The question’s been coming up a lot in the last few weeks…What do you remember more? A brand or the keyword phrase you search for…
I was driving to Brisbane just yesterday and noticed a flashy little bubble car zoom by…speeding I might add…with the phrase “energy efficient window tinting” plastered all over it…sure enough when I got home I typed it into the trusty Google engine…BINGO! There it was…’under construction’ mind you, but yes…it was there… www.energyefficientwindowtinting.com.au
Obviously, the company is about to launch another new domain…good thinking for them!!!
Did you notice…It was the phrase I remembered…but don’t get me wrong…the little bubble car was equally plastered with their brand…but do you think I can remember it…Not a chance…
And its mainly because Google has trained us now to think in terms of keywords and phrases…no longer is the brand the most important fixture in your business…
I was helping a friend with this same scenario, just a couple of days ago…She’s about to launch a new kids book business…The question was “What domains should I register…?”
My answer was of course…
“Your brand first…but to back it up, think in terms of what people are searching for…What are they really looking for…? Your brand or a great kids book that will not only entertain, but make their kids love reading…Survey your readers…let them make the hard decisions…but use the phrases you see coming up most often when people talk of your work…”

Now this can be applied to all businesses, products or services…
These extra domains become great landing and traffic getting pages…its much better for SEO and SEM…they make great thought and action provokers from prospects in your Product and Business Launches.
And, what could be better than having your domain come up first in search engines, get free traffic and be remembered by your adoring fans…
You know yourself…you rarely search for brands, so use this simple technique. I’m going to call it “Phrasing”, instead of ‘branding’…
You should now have a second window open, typing in the search terms people use to find your business…whether its surfboards, haircare, winter soup recipes or other…type those terms in, see what comes up…
Another way is to go to the Google Keyword Tool and search for relevant phrases…then go to your domain supplier, like GoDaddy and search for your new domains…
Its as easy as that…BUT! And there’s always the BIG BUT…!
Don’t get caught registering 32 domains with no real DIRECT link to want you’re offering…
Just because you offer ‘winter soup recipes’, doesn’t mean you need to own every domain around that phrase…get in touch with your market…use there language, use their phrases…read their responces to surveys, comments in your blogs…it’ll become obvious which phrases stand out…then use them to your online advantage.

A Fighter Jet Flight, a Harley Davidson, a Jeep Wrangler, a Jetski, a 50″ Plasma and a 32ft Cruiser…
No…I haven’t just won the lottery and splurged on all the goodies I’ve ever dreamt of…
They’ve all been JV prizes in recent launches, yes, people are giving away the craziest S&%T to get partners to mail for them…
As we all know, people are busy in their business’ promoting their own products and services and if you really want the big players to get on board and promote for you, you need to up the ante!
And it doesn’t matter what market you’re in…I mean, of course the million dollar launches are the ones giving away the boats and cars…but there is a huge tip for the smaller markets here too…
Take note…
Not everyone, well actually, hardly anyone is doing this in the smaller markets…let me explain…
You may be launching your new product into a market where the biggest launch has just racked in a modest sum of $123,000…its okay, JV’s aren’t going to be expecting a new car or a trip in a fighter jet.
But, the biggest thing is…people aren’t just promoting for the money anymore…they’re promoting for the status…The status of being able to say… “I beat ’Billy Bob’ out of top position”….
Tap into this mentality…be different…think of it this way…
A JV partner, well most of the good one’s are already making good money, right?, Whether its from their own products or by promoting the hundreds of other affiliate products on offer…most are living comfortably…
So you need to think outside the box…offer prizes that they wouldn’t normally buy…Yes, granted, a Fighter Jet ride probably isn’t an everyday purchase…but if you’re earning much smaller sums…neither is a Skydive or a Bungee Jump! And there are tons of other ideas out there…
Being different always wins over being better. Better is lame…Different creates interest…and thinking long term…different will have those JV’s coming back for the next launch and the next…
And get creative within your competitions too….Competitions are run on the Sales results…the Opt-in results…Single day referral stats…
MAKE IT A GAME!!! And you’ll have your JV’s chaffing at the bit to mail for you…
Treat your Joint Venture Partners just as you would your customers…Even Better…you may be launching a new product to the world, but launch it to your JV’s aswell…create the same buzz, excitement and anticipation within the partners promoting your product for you…
You Owe It To Them, And Youself!
Done right, you’ll be looking at a wildy successful launch…and you’ll be able to follow up with another and not have to beg for partners next time round…

14 months ago, almost to the day…I launched a weird little online business…little did I know it would lead me to the most profound learning experience in my life…
